The GORGEOUS VOICES FESTIVAL Blokes in SuitsPollyphonics
The Pollyphonics' are a new, mixed voice choir based in Woodend singing a blend of soul and spiritual’s, global folk and contemporary songs. The emphasis is on harmonies, rhythm, dynamics, and having fun! The Pollyphonics are conducted by inspiring choral director, Polly Christie. Polly conducts and inspires a talented and diverse range of Macedon Ranges men and women in this exciting new choir. South of the River
South of the River is a community choir celebrating diversity and harmony through a shared passion for singing. Under the direction of Annemarie Sharry, the choir explores the music and rhythms of Africa, traditional African American gospel and original Australian compositions. In 2006, the choir made it to Victorian State Final [final four] of the national "Sing Out" competition of the ABC Classic FM National Choir of the Year Awards. During the "Sing Out" competition, choir member and documentary film maker, Linette Etheredge, produced Wade in the Water - the story of South of the River's desire to win a national singing competition and choir founder, Debi Candlish's determination to live through breast cancer.
