EVENING CONCERT
Gorgeous Performers - Friday 5.30pm and 8pm
The Gorgeous Performers thread adds a loud ‘anyone can be a diva’ note to the festival. Aiming to bring together many different styles of singing – from community singing to opera to folk to cabaret - our Uncommon Divas [a diversity, from Divine to Devious, & including Div-ettes] will feature:

This event will 'kick-off' with the opening "tasters" on the steps and in the foyer of the Capital Theatre, where you can sample an appetising selection of our Diva's and Div-ettes.
The concert performers will be Akasa, Annalisa, Jessica & Josh, and Janette.
Mercy Will Carry My Feet - Saturday 8pm
Mercy Will Carry My Feet is a contemporary opera that deals with those eternal passions, love, art and war. It tells the story of a young, idealistic couple, their separation, grief and attempts to reunite during the 1930s Spanish civil war. Theirs is a journey of struggle and love, exile and forgiveness in a country that has forbidden memory.

Gorgeous Gathering of Voices - Sunday 2.30pm
Join your voice and spirit to the massed choir finale of the Gorgeous Voices Festival -- the 'Gorgeous Gathering of Voices' at the beautiful Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bendigo on Sunday afternoon, October 18.
In April Perth conductor Martin Meader, members of Born to Sing and Gorgeous voices and a number of other individuals and community groups volunteered their time and skills to run a number of 'bushfire survivor choir' workshops in the fire affected townships of Bendigo and Whittlesea.
Gorgeous Voices are now planning a very special get together, to grow the seed of goodwill that was planted that weekend; to sing a good handful of those songs again, plus some original songs by Victorian composers, Kate Lawson Gould, Fay White, Sue Gillett & Valentine Sawenko.
There is no need to have been at the original workshops in order to participate in the Gorgeous Gathering - indeed, let the sonic circle continue to ripple and widen!
