GORGEOUS VOICES FESTIVAL

VoKallista are a community choir based in the beautiful village of Kallista, in the Dandenong Ranges, south east of Melbourne. We have about 20 members a lot of whom have sung together in other choirs or carolling groups or sing-for-fun sessions. Led by Barb McFarlane who has C.M.V. to thank for her leader training and confidence building and the Boite Singers' Festival choirs concert for the courage and inspiration to start a choir.

Our repertoire is drawn from many places and styles. The material is mostly about people and people stuff and this beautiful planet we live on. We like rousing anthems, gentle lullabys and folk songs and we sing a few songs by Australian songwriters like Tiddas and Paul Kelly.

We've sung at the Boite Singers' Festival, Selby Acappella Festival, several local fundraisers, an art exhibition, the P.A.V.E. Festival in Emerald and are anticipating a great singing day in Bendigo.
